Anti-aging, hair restoration & regenerative purposes.

Starts at $250.00

PRP for anti-aging, hair restoration, and regenerative purposes. Platelet-Rich Plasma - PRP therapy for hair loss is a three-step medical treatment in which a person's blood is drawn, processed, and then injected into the scalp. PRP injections trigger natural hair growth and maintain it by increasing blood supply to the hair follicle and increasing the thickness of the hair shaft. This package is for 4 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart.

Maintenance treatments are required 4-6 months. Consultation required prior to receiving treatment.

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is an advanced treatment physicians have used to help repair damaged or injured tissues in your body. This minimally invasive procedure helps initiate your system's regenerative process by utilizing the growth factors that platelets are known to contain.

The potential benefits of PRP have led to a recent widespread interest in its use for anti-aging and regenerative purposes. The platelet-rich plasma helps you look younger without injecting artificial substances into your body. In fact, the treatment uses your body's own blood to regenerate and tighten your skin. Platelets found in human blood have been used for years to help regenerate muscle and bone, heal skin ulcers, and repair tendons and ligaments. During the treatment, platelets are extracted from blood and are then super concentrated, and the resulting plasma is injected into damaged tissue. The platelet-rich plasma promotes healing and regeneration. Platelet-rich plasma is now being used for cosmetic purposes.

As part of the body's healing ability, platelets and other components in human blood migrate to the point of care. Platelets are well known to release numerous growth factors that respond to tissue injury and initiate and promote the conditions for healing. PRP therapy is autologous, meaning it is derived from the patient, therefore carries no risk of rejection or allergic reaction. The result of the treatment is the natural stimulation of growth factors moving towards the treated area. There are no known side effects of PRP, although you may occasionally experience minor swelling or paint near the injection sites for a short period of time.

How Does PRP Work For Hair Restoration And Regeneration?

PRP can be used to stimulate and nourish follicles for hair growth. Highly concentrated plasma (a portion of your blood without the red and white blood cells) contains platelets that release growth to generate new hair and improve the density and health of existing hair. PRP administration into the scalp is done via Micropen treatment and via subdermal injections. For our Dallas and Southlake hair restoration treatments, we combine your PRP with additional treatments, we combine your PRP with additional medications specific to your hair restoration needs.

Post-surgical PRP treatment is recommended for hair transplant recipients to further promote healing and inspire growth. Hair follicles survive on the nutrition received from the blood supply. If we introduce platelets by administering platelet-rich plasma (PRP) in the area of damaged hair follicles, the process amplifies the body's naturally occurring wound healing mechanism.

Reinvigorate Dormant Hair Follicles

Clinical studies concluded that enhanced hair growth of transplanted hair was observed after use of PRP, which led to further research on the effect of PRP on non-transplanted hair follicles. The study hypothesized that platelet growth factors can "wake up" dormant hair follicles and begin the production of new hair. A study examined the effect of PRP injections alone without hair transplant surgery. The PRP was administered into the scalp without hair thickness was measured after the treatment. Enhanced hair growth and increased hair diameter where noted over the next 4 months.

Promote New Hair Growth

PRP can be used to stimulate and nourish follicles for hair growth. Highly concentrated blood plasma contains platelets that release growth factors. These growth factors have been shown to generate new hair and improve the density and health of existing hair.
