MICRONEEDLING W/SKIN PEN - FACE AREA
Target skin’s natural collagen without heat or chemicals. Reduce the appearance of aging for more youthful-looking skin. This FDA-cleared device is used by leading health care providers and individually customized to rejuvenate from the inside out for younger looking skin.
Microneedling is a wonderful treatment for lines, wrinkles, scars, stretch marks, and textural irregularities. A pen-like device tipped with single-use, very fine, surgical quality needles creates thousands of tiny micro-holes in the skin (after using the numbing cream of course). This "controlled damage" forces the skin to create new collagen as a healing response. Over the course of months, skin will look smoother, lines and wrinkles will greatly diminish, and scars and stretch marks will blend better with the surrounding skin. A great anti-aging treatment for everybody, no matter what their issues or age, as there are no potential side effects from heat like there are for lasers.
Price is based upon consultation, as well as the amount of time required for treatment. Consultation required prior to receiving treatment.
Collagen P.I.N. is a Percutaneous Induction Therapeutic Micro-Needling Device which opens up a whole new horizon to skin treatments. Collagen P.I.N. has several advantages over previous generation anti-aging tools like lasers, dermal needle rollers and offer much less down time and huge cost savings from surgical procedures as mentioned.
Innovative and effective.
Activates cellular regeneration to help tighten and lift skin.
Minimizes common skin problems such as acne scars, fine lines, photoaging, dull skin, poor texture, stretch marks, and body scars.
How does it work?
A topical serum is applied to clean skin (in most cases your practitioner will use a hyaluronic acid) this soothing product is chosen to help the Collagen P.I.N. Safety Micro-needle Cartridge glide smoothly across the skin's surface while delivering the mechanical injury necessary to bring about the necessary change, and simultaneously delivery Hyaluronic Acid (HA) - the building blocks for healthy new skin - deep into the skin. Your practitioner will select the appropriate needle depth and number of passes required to properly treat your concerns based upon your individual skin health and skin regimen.
As the Collagen P.I.N. Safety Micro-Needle is gently glided across the skin, thousands of micro-channels are created every second. These tiny micro-channels stimulate your skins own natural ability to heal itself, there by crafting new skin.
Their repair process Collagen Induction Therapy, begins almost immediately. Fibroblasts - the cells that synthesize new collagen - are active for up to as much as one year after one Collagen P.I.N. treatment. New collagen and elastin produce younger, healthier, plumper and firmer skin which aides in reproducing the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, acne scars and overall better tone and texture.
What is a P.I.N.?
(Percutaneous Induction Needling, also referred to as PCIT, Percutaneous Collagen Induction Therapy ... a.k.a. micro-needling, or automated micro-needling)
P.I.N. is a method of introducing a controlled wound into the skin triggering a release of natural growth factors, new collagen & elastin. This process causes much less damage to the epidermis than dermal rolling or lasers and other ablative treatments, which helps to protect the new skin cell growth providing for quicker healing and a much higher success rate for overall and longer lasting results.
What is automated micro-needling?
Automated Micro-Needling (also known as Percututaneous Collagen Induction Therapy or PCIT) is a new innovation in aesthetic medicine for the treatment of fine lines, acne scars and improvement of the skin's overall appearance. During this procedure, tiny needles are used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to produce collagen and elastin. The skin's repair process results in a thicker dermis with the appearance of softer wrinkles. Automated micro-needling also creates superficial micro-channels which allow topical serums, and creams to be absorbed more effectively into the skin. Collagen P.I.N. is the most advanced medical-grade automated micro-needling device on the market.
How is Collagen P.I.N. different from the dermal needling rollers of the past?
Micro-needling rollers are the previous generation of needling devices. One of the many drawbacks is that dermal rollers have a fixed needle or penetration depth (i.e. 0.5mm) which is not very conducive when treating an area like the face which requires different depth due to the thickness of skin tissue, which varies in depth tremendously depending on the area being treated. Therefore having a fixed needle depth or penetration level is a huge drawback when trying to customize a treatment for consistency. Collagen P.I.N. has an adjustable needle depth that allows your skincare provider to vary the depth of penetration throughout the entire treatment. This will allow the medical provider to properly address the specific needs of thinner skin on your lower eyelids, crow's feet, and forehead. Additionally where the tissue is thicker in other areas like the upper lip, cheeks (due to fat pads), neck, and décolletage, the necessary adjustments can easily be treated with 1 needle tip instead of 5 or 6 needle rollers. The other dramatic difference is in the type of injury that occurs using the Collagen P.I.N. verses a Dermal Needling Roller.
Plastic Surgeons, Dermatologists and other aesthetic providers choose Collagen P.I.N. for many reasons:
Safety is always important.
Collagen P.I.N. is inherently safer than dermal rollers, utilizing sterile single-use surgical grade disposable needle tips.
The P.I.N. Safety Micro-needle Cartridge ensures that Collagen P.I.N. delivers greater efficiency and superior clinical results while maintaining the highest level of safety for both patient and provider. It is also safe for ALL skin types which means this procedure can benefit everyone!!
Faster truly is better!! Collagen P.I.N.'s powerful motor mreans quick penetration by the needles. This creates a more comfortable experience that patients describe as a vibrating tickle.
Customizable treatment for each patient. Each patient's skin is different and has unique needs for its betterment. Because the needle depth is adjustable, this allows Collagen P.I.N. providers to customize your treatment to your individual needs.
How is Collagen P.I.N. different from lasers?
When used correctly, resurfacing lasers can be a great tool for treating aging skin. However, lasers are focused light to produce heat that destroys certain colors of pigment and vaporizes skin. This is great for targeting dark spots, but often leads to complications when treating patients with naturally darker skin. Collagen P.I.N. breaks up pigment mechanically and remodels the collagen without heat or the light. When the heat is removed from the process, it makes for a much safer, more comfortable, more consistent treatment. No heat also equals less downtime! Most Collagen P.I.N. patients have a healthy pink glow immediately after the procedure, which lessens dramatically within 24 hours or less. Most patients are back to work the same day and out to dinner the same evening and experience little to no down time.
How is the procedure done?
A sterile needle-tip containing 12 tiny micro-needles is attached to the Collagen P.I.N. Your skincare professional will apply a thin layer of topical serum to your skin and select the appropriate treatment depth based on your unique needs. Next, in a single motion, the Collagen P.I.N. will be gently glided across the skin in one direction until the entire treatment area has been covered. This results in thousands of microscopic channels throughout the entire treatment area.
